The Greenville County Beahvioral Health (GCBH) AmeriCorps State Program exists to provide direct support and services related to mental health and addiction-related needs in Upstate South Carolina. The program is sponsored by Mental Health America of Greenville County (MHAGC) and United Way of South Carolina through the Corporation for National and Community Services. Each program year, 40 Corps Members commit to a year of community service. The positions are designed to support individuals living with chronic mental illness and to strengthen MHAGC's programs, including the 24/7 CRISISline and TEENline programs. We are currently offering three full-time positions (each requiring 1700 total service hours throughout the year), 27 quarter-time positions (each requiring 450 total service hours throughout the year), and 10 minimum time positions (each requiring 300 total service hours throughout the year). We are currently accepting applications for the following roles: · Two Consumer Support Specialists, full-time (40 Hours a week)- Position Description & Application · Crisis Intervention Specialists, (multiple time commitment options including 7 hours or 10 hours per week)- Day/Evening Quarter Time Position Description & Application; Day/Evening Minimum Time Position Description & Application; Overnight Quarter Time Position Description & Application· TEENs 4 HOPE Members (multiple time commitment options including 7 hours a week or 10 hours; these positions are available to teens 17+, or anyone working within Greenville County schools)- Quarter Time Position Description & Application; Minimum Time Position Description & Application The service term for these position will begin in September 2018 and end in July 2019. Benefits for these positions will include both a living allowance and education award.
