Confronting the Stigma in South Carolina, One Conversation at a Time
Mental health touches more lives than many realize, yet conversations about it are still too often whispered—if they happen at all. Across South Carolina, stigma, silence, and real barriers to care leave many people struggling without support. Stories shared at community events and trainings reveal just how many families, coworkers, and friends are affected, and how much courage it takes to speak openly. Opening the door to these conversations is a vital step toward breaking stigma and connecting people with help.
